On Thursday 3 April 2025 at 09:16 UTC, a UDP reflection (DNS) targeted a developer platform customer in the Nordics. The attack peaked at 278.1 Gbps and lasted 57 minutes. Traffic originated from 2742 autonomous systems in 106 countries, predominantly hijacked home routers.

Timeline

The attack was preceded by no stated motive. Edge packet filters identified the flood by source port and payload signature and dropped it at line rate across 19 points of presence.
